1、 Product Description of Extraction and Concentration Unit
The extraction and concentration unit is actually a multi-functional processing system that integrates extraction and concentration. Generally, traditional Chinese medicine factories or plant extraction departments use thermal reflux traditional Chinese medicine extraction and concentration units or small extraction and concentration equipment. However, these small extraction and concentration units mostly use electric heating, and steam heating is commonly used for thermal reflux, which can fully utilize steam and is beneficial for energy conservation.
It can be used for various process operations such as atmospheric pressure, water frying, wet soaking, hot reflux, cyclic permeation, aromatic oil extraction, and organic solvent recovery in industries such as medicine and health care, pigments, alcohol, food and beverage, animal and plant, and chemical industry. 2、 Characteristics of extraction and concentration unit products
1. This equipment mainly consists of an extraction tank, an external circulation single effect concentrator, and other auxiliary equipment. It has a compact structure and is easy to operate, integrating extraction, concentration, and solvent recovery.
2. The equipment is fully functional and suitable for water extraction and alcohol extraction. It can perform atmospheric and negative pressure extraction and recover volatile oil. Equipped with a vacuum converter and control box, it is easy to operate and can achieve process requirements such as room temperature extraction and low-temperature concentration, room temperature extraction and low-temperature concentration, and so on.
3. The oil-water separator is composed of two glass cylinders, which allows for longer oil-water separation time and better separation effect. Made of glass material for easy observation.
4. At the same time of extraction, high level gravity flow is used for concentration, and the evaporated distilled water returns to the extraction tank for further extraction. The entire reflux extraction and concentration process takes about 4-6 hours. Reduce steam and solvent losses, and shorten operating time.
5. The recovered high concentration solvent is directly sent to the alcohol preparation tank and used as a solvent in the alcohol settling tank or extraction tank. The dilute concentration solvent has just arrived at the dilute alcohol storage tank. The solvent discharge is controlled by a control box to achieve automatic liquid discharge, reduce labor, and improve solvent utilization.
3、 Purpose and characteristics of extraction and concentration unit

4、 Working principle of extraction and concentration unit
Put the medicinal herbs into the extraction tank and add 5-10 times the amount of solvents such as water, ethanol, methanol, acetone, etc. (according to process requirements). Turn on the heating system of extraction tank, heat the extraction solution to boiling for 20-30 minutes, and then use Vacuum ejector to pump one-third of the extraction solution into the concentration tank. Close the extraction tank's direct system and jacket hot water, turn on the concentration tank's direct system and heating system to maintain the temperature of the concentrated juice at around 80 ℃, and maintain the vacuum degree at -0.05 to -0.08MPA. The secondary steam generated during concentration is converted into a condensate through the condenser and cooler and returned to the extraction tank for adding new solvent to the medicine. The new solvent passes through the medicinal layer to the bottom of the extraction tank from top to bottom, and the soluble components in the medicinal material are dissolved in the solvent in the extraction tank, The extract solution is pumped into the concentration tank through the Vacuum ejector, and the secondary steam generated by concentration is sent to the extraction tank as a new solvent to form a new solvent for reflux extraction, until it is completely dissolved (the extract solution is colorless), and the concentration continues until it is concentrated into the required specific gravity ointment. The colorless liquid in the extraction tank can be reused next time. If the organic Liquid–liquid extraction, add appropriate amount of water, open the straight and jacketed hot water, and drain the slag after recovering the solvent.
